The ancient art of Kung Fu has been popularised by movies and many of us grew up enamoured with the gravity defying, super human feats of that these kung fu masters portray. It usually involves a weak protagonist going through gruelling training before achieving greatness. That's a story that we can all connect with. So, how much of what we know of Kung Fu is really indeed Kung Fu?
I traveled 146km North of Chiang Mai, round 762 turns along dangerous and narrow roads, to visit a humble kung fu training school situated on the mountain top of Pai. That's where I met Master Dave from Nam Yang Kung Fu Retreat who shared the secrets of Kung Fu's reverse breathing technique, energy flow and how we can keep our chi balanced to beat stress.
